This existing double brick, federation home in sought after East Launceston had been vacant for a number of years and was in extremely poor condition when the clients approached us with their proposal to bring it back to life.

The house needed significant underpinning before any other work could commence and with that underway we started working on plans to add a new living, dining, rumpus and bedroom underneath. The extension is totally contrasting in form and materials and was linked to the original with a glass corridor.

Although not heritage listed some key heritage values were adopted to guide some of the design decisions.
